Education Secures Your Professional Future

SACM sponsors credentialing and professional programs that enable credit professionals to demonstrate their commitment to excellence in their field. SACM is the only body which offers these designations. To receive application forms or more information about any of the following programs, please check below.

Professional Designations

  • The Credit Business Associate (CBA) signals mastery of fundamental business credit-related disciplines such as business credit principles and introductory financial statement analysis.

  • The Credit Business Fellow (CBF) is an academic and career achievement designation which illustrates that achievers are knowledgeable about and have contributed to the field by earning the CBA designation and completing additional course work. The CBF signals competence in the essentials of finance, intermediate financial analysis, the principles of management, business law, and credit law. CBF designation applicants must have a minimum of five years work experience in credit or finance, accumulated 75 Career Roadmap points (determined by filling out the appropriate forms) and pass the CBF designation proficiency exam.

  • The Certified Credit Executive (CCE) is NACM's highest designation, endorsing its achievers as capable of managing the credit function at the executive level. Candidates must have a minimum of six years (which increases to 10 years in Sept. 1996) experience and have 125 Career Roadmap points. Candidates must pass a rigorous four-hour exam which tests skills in accounting, finance, domestic and international credit, management and law. CCEs are required to recertify every three years until 60 years of age.
